A Hint of Dawn~Portland Head Light

.

Another Portland Head Light HDR.  This time with most of the color drained out of it.  That’s the technical terminology for it.   (OK, it was desaturated in Lightroom to achieve this result.)    Not sure if I like this approach or not, I think it is growing on me.

Well I like it. I use the de-saturation approach a lot because sometimes the color can detracts from the photo. This has a lot of textures and shapes that are interesting and the treatment is nice on it. Not to mention the fact that it is a lighthouse and it’s almost impossible to take a bad photo of one.

Very good effect. I like the subtle vintage quality that the desaturation brought to the composition.
