Memorial Day 2012
.
Fate, or a higher power guided my wife and I to a beautiful Memorial Day display at the cemetery in the small town of Benton, Kansas today. When I saw the cross shaped flare coming through the flag on this image, I figured it might be more than luck. I hope everyone has a fun and safe holiday. Thank you to all who have served and sacrificed to defend our freedom.
This is not a lucky shot. Sometimes these things present themselves, opportunities, and we have to be ready. Great shot and fitting for today.

Thanks, it was a lot of fun to get out and shoot in unexplored territory for a change.

Great picture Charles. Especially meaningful to Dave and I over the Memorial holiday as Dave’s dad just passed away last night. Call or email me for details. I was wanting to get a hold of you and Kelly – we miss you guys right now!

Beautifully captured moment of synchronicity. I believe that synchronicity ( in Jungian terms ) opens the door to the unconsciousness & universal knowledge. Your image touches archetypal elements and is open to many powerful interpretations. Take care. 🙂
