Fiery Sky
.
A fiery sunset behind one of the bridge towers in downtown Wichita. Some people think the design of this pedestrian suspension bridge was overdone, overpowering the site with it’s tall dual towers. I find it pleasing and a favorite photographic subject that I am drawn to again and again. If nothing else, I know it looks very interesting in the fog, or with a spectacular sunset behind it.
Amazing.. Truly Amazing Photograph.. Loved it !!!

I have seen photos of this bridge before and I think it’s as much a work of art as a bridge can be and not “overdone” at all. This photo is a work of art in itself, it’s a beautiful silhouette against a great sky. Too bad there’s always folks that don’t appreciate beautiful things.

Thanks Ken. I suppose part of this bridges appeal to me is that there is nothing else like it in Wichita or anywhere within hundreds of miles for that matter. Add in some good atmospheric conditions, and it’s fun to photograph.

This is quite impressive—I mean your photograph. The structure is imposing and you have used it to maximum advantage. Memorable.

We have a very similar bridge here in Omaha. You’ve inspired me to go check it out at sunset one of these evenings.
