Clearing Storm At Sunset

Here’s another clearing storm HDR image, taken closer to sunset than the one I posted last week.  This one has a more ominous feel to it I think, again showing the lower than normal Arkansas river and the Exploration Place science building.   It was a waiting game, killing time as the sun slowly moved behind the last line of clouds.    There’s some crepuscular ray action going on here, and that figure just below the sun is the well known Keeper of the Plains sculpture by Blackbear Bosin.

This was worth the wait, Charles. It’s a completely different mood than the photo posted earlier so I’m glad that you posted both. Because our weather has been so crappy lately we haven’t had any sky drama in a while and I miss seeing it. I’m sure a little rain is a welcome relief out your way also.

    • Thanks Ken. Aside from the one evening where I was out photographing, our skies have been plain and blue, along with the searing heat of course. Here’s hoping for some rain and sky drama, sometime soon.
