Sunset Tree
–
This is a lovely little tree on the bank of the Arkansas River near downtown Wichita. I fussed around it for about a half hour, trying to figure out what made it so appealing, and how to shoot it. I think this straight-on, square cropped, backlit HDR approach ended up being my favorite.
That is one lovely picture!

The back lighting on this is perfect with the setting sun in the background. Tress make interesting subjects to photograph and never tire of looking at them. When i see a shot like this I glad some photographers have the vision to see this and shoot it properly. And trees don’t charge to pose!

Thanks, I had noticed this tree quite awhile back. This is the first time I had been nearby when conditions came together as far as time of day/lighting/sky to make something interesting of it.
