Don't fret, it's just Charles Ford's photography blog.

Rising Goose

This one’s for a certain blogger in Webster, NY.   I slipped the goose five bucks and he agreed to pose.

Actually, I believe he was enjoying the rain shower and perhaps shaking off excess moisture.  Couldn’t figure out how to crop this one and follow the old rule of thirds, so once again we have a rule violation from yours truly.

Five bucks? Obviously the geese in your neck of the woods have not unionized as they have in NYS. This would have cost me $10 for the main goose and $5 for each of the back-up geese.
Geese are, in my opinion, magnificent birds and you’ve captured (photographed) them beautifully. Nice job.

  2. I like photographing geese too, but never got them to comply to my wishes. I never offered $5 though. Lovely photo and so what about the rules. Your gooses centered is art.

I know enough about the rule of thirds to mostly ignore it. 🙂

  4. Thank you for the kind comments. I hope the geese continue to work for fair wages around here. 🙂
